**Important Email Maintenance Notice **

Dear Valued Customer,

Waymark Communications Inc will be providing you with a new email account with the @waymark.net domain during this transition. Your current @dallas.net address will be forwarded to your new Waymark email address in parallel with your DSL migration. Your @dallas.net email will be forwarded to your new @waymark.net email box at (reference date and time sent in notification). At this time, Waymark asks that you check you email on the Waymark server opposed to the Dallas.net. You will be able to view your old mail that was delivered to the Dallas.net server prior to the transition date and time above for 30 days after.

You may view your new email box at any time prior to the transition date. For those who use a 3rd party mail client to POP your email off of the mail server such as Outlook Express, Outlook 97/98/200 you may follow the directions below or go to http://www.waymark.net/check_email.html enter in your new email box dictated in this email and following the easy step-by-step instructions displayed on the webpage. For those who use the web mail interface to view your email please go to http://www.waymark.net/web_mail.html enter in your FULL email address and usual password for access to your email on the Waymark mail server.

For those who use the webmail interface to view their email:

The quota for the amount of email that you will be allowed to store on Waymark's mail server is 10 MB. Here are some helpful hints to clean up your email box:
  • Delete items in the .Deleted Items folder.
  • Delete emails that you no longer need.
  • Delete emails that have attachments, or save them to your local machine.
Below are the step-by-step instructions for those who use a 3rd party mail client such as Outlook Express, Outlook 97/98/200 to add the @waymark.net email address.

Please remember that all email that is sent to your @dallas.net email address after the transition date and time of (please reference notification sent to you from Waymark) will be forwarded to your new @waymark.net email address.

**Please verify that you have the host name "mail.waymark.net" configured as your incoming and outgoing mail servers. If you have an IP address configured for your incoming and outgoing mail servers PLEASE change this to the host name “mail.waymark.net”. If you have an IP address shown in your settings for incoming and outgoing mail servers instead of the host name “mail.waymark.net" you will be unable to send or receive email after the transition date and time.**

How to add you new Waymark email address if you are currently using Outlook 97/98/2000 please follow these steps:
1. Click on Start, point to Settings and select Control Panel.
2. Double-click on the Mail icon.
3. Under the Services tab, double click on Internet E-mail or Internet Mail.
4. Go to the Servers tab.
5. For incoming and outgoing mail servers, enter mail.waymark.net.
6. Add @waymark.net at the end of your account name.
For example, if your account name reads username then change it to: username@waymark.net.
7. For the password field, put in your email password.
8. Click on the box Remember password if you don't want to type in your password every time Outlook checks for new mail.
9. Do NOT select Log on using Secure Password Authentication or My server requires authentication.
10. Click on Apply - Click on OK.

If you are currently using Outlook Express please follow these steps:
1. Open Outlook Express.
2. You may get an error message saying that it can't authenticate you. Click on cancel or on the X to close the error.
3. Go to Tools menu and select Accounts.
4. Under the Mail tab select your email account and click on properties.
5. Now select the Servers tab.
6. Make sure your incoming and outgoing mail server is set to: mail.waymark.net
7. Add @cowtown.net at the end of your account name.
For example, if your account name reads username then change it to: username@waymark.net.
8. Click Apply then Ok to save your changes.
9. Click on Close to exit out of the Internet Accounts window.
10. Now you can click on Send & Receive to check your email.
If you get the same error from Step 2 make sure the account name has your email address and your password is typed in the correct fields.

If you are currently using Netscape 4.x as your mail client you will need to use username%waymark.net, substituting a % for the @ sign. Due to differences in each version of Eudora please call our Technical Support team and they will be happy to assist you.
